Pet Food Analysis

The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) issues guidelines regarding the manufacturing and labeling of pet food in the USA and Canada. In order to meet the AAFCO guidelines and get their product on the market, pet food companies must have their diets analyzed for the major metabolites required by dogs and cats in various life stages. Actlabs offers AAFCO certified - we are part of the AAFCO Proficiency Testing Program - proximate analysis testing along with mineral, vitamin, amino acid, fatty acid and toxin analyses. We also offer microbiology testing for E.Coli, Salmonella and C. Perfringens as well as yeast and mold to ensure product quality at various stages of the manufacturing process.
